It is my intention to provide an ongoing newsletter
that will inspire and uplift your soul to new heights
of spiritual love and understanding. My personal
goal for 1999 is to become a more inspirational
and educational teacher. I hope this to be true
in the next few pages. |

SELF:
All the power that ever was or ever will be is
here now.

| We
live and die, and miss so many moments. In the Yogic
Philosophy, (the Yoga Sutras), the first Sutra says:
“Atha Yoganusasanam.” This translates
to: “Now is the discipline of Yoga.”
In many spiritual teachings it is the moment
that we are trying to master. What is the moment?
What is Now? Perhaps we are getting closer
to the moment when we finally leave the job or relationship
that we know is not serving you. You take the leap.
These changes may appear to others as if you are
crazy. At the same time your personality may completely
freak out, but to the soul it is the greatest
joy and freedom! It is heaven. We feel alive. We
feel connected to our purpose. How do we
find our soul’s purpose? Can we really know
what the soul wants? Is there any way to know? |
Many
people have no connection to their souls
purpose. When I was very young I had very little
ambition for what most people desired. Big house,
nice car, money etc. So why live? I felt
I must have a purpose. I knew my soul wanted to
grow and learn and develop something. So.... I went
on my path. I found Yoga. I found Astrology. Very
quickly I knew this was for me. Soon, I became
a spiritual teacher and counselor. That was, and
is “my” destiny. I was fortunate
to find my life purpose at a young age. That
was 19 years ago. Later this was confirmed by many
other astrologers.
Our Natal charts reveal to each of us what our souls
are learning and working on. This is revealed
very specifically in our chart. It is called
the Path of Destiny. Everyone’s path
is very unique. There are many paths. Each path
is as individual as the person. Some people
are here to develop relationships. Others, to learn
to stand on their own “two feet.”
It is different, vast, and varied for everyone.
Each person has a different story and a different
pattern. It is fascinating when the soul’s
pattern is revealed to me in the chart. I am constantly
intrigued by each soul’s specific and detailed
journey. I am offering workshops in March and
April around these different areas. I hope you will

March 6th, 1999 12:00 - 6:30 PM Workshop held
in Palo Alto
The Path of Destiny (North and South Lunar Node
position) is the first point I look at
when delineating a chart for a client. A person’s
life is in balance when he/she is embracing this
area of their chart. It is the first vital area
to the soul’s journey. Above all else, this
is what the soul came to learn. What does this
reveal? Your life’s soul purpose is
revealed by the placement of the North Lunar Node
in your chart. It is that simple
Each person’s North Lunar Node is unique
and is affected by the placement of other planets
in the chart. Many clients of mine confirm that
this placement is something they have thought about.
Many of them say they needed a confirmation of the
importance of this area in their life. Do you
know where your North Lunar Node is? And in what
sign? |

Saturday April 3rd, 1999 12:00 - 6:30 PM Workshop
held in Palo Alto
Mars is our planet of desire, energy and action.
Mars is the ancient God of war and represents
the struggles we have within, and with others.
It is closely related to our physical energy.
Mars expresses itself through desire, courage,
initiative and assertiveness. Mars will be in
the sign of Scorpio for a total of 8 months. This
is an unusually long time for Mars to be in a
sign. Mars stays in one sign for approximately
3 months. It will be going retrograde (appearing
to be going backwards) from March 18th thru
June 4th. This workshop will cover where
Mars will be retrograde in your chart. (This represents
an area for intense focus and activity in your
life). Find out in this workshop where Mars will
be reflecting your energy. Remember, the planets
are there so we can “plan it.”
Guidelines for the Workshop
- ~Not necessary to have any previous knowledge
of Astrology.
- ~Each workshop is limited to 15 people.
- ~Pre-registration is required. Fill out the
enclosed registration form and send it in. (Register
early to get your space).
- ~Bring a lunch for yourself. Lunch is at 3:00
PM.
- ~The workshop begins at 12:00 PM and goes to
6:30 PM (approximately).
- ~Once registered, you will receive a confirmation
letter and directions to the workshop. Cost of
each Workshop is $75.00

Upcoming
and Current Planetary Cycles

| As
an Astrologer it is my job to counsel my clients
about what current cycles are approaching in their
charts, and what cycles they have been under. The
planets don’t make us behave in a certain way.
Instead they act like focal points or spotlights
on certain areas of our lives. They help us
to bring into focus an area of life that we may
be overlooking or not paying attention to. The following
is an overall view of the current planetary cycles
that affect each of us. |
| Moon
Wobble |
|
We are currently experiencing what is called a “Moon
Wobble.” This term was created by the noted
Astrologer and Mathematician, Carl Payne Tobey.
It is a cycle the reflects chaos, and catastrophes
on all levels. It is a time to process things
on an internal level. This cycle comes to
a peak on February 11. Avoid any impulsive decisions
around this time. If you want to find out more about
Moon Wobble, please send me a self-addressed, stamped
envelope and I will send you a complete sheet on
Moon Wobbles. Moon Wobble cycles from January
24th - March 13th. It is at 17 degrees of Aquarius.

| Mercury
Retrograde |
This is
a commonly used phrase in Astrology - “Mercury
Retrograde.” This is a period when the planet
Mercury appears to be moving backwards. Mercury
is a very swift moving planet. Mercury passes through
a sign every three weeks. Since Mercury travels
through each sign so quickly, periodically it will
go retrograde (where it appears to be moving backwards).
This period affects two signs more than all the
others because their planetary ruler is Mercury.
These signs are Gemini and Virgo. People born under
these signs may find themselves going over projects
they have not completed in the past 3 weeks, 3 months,
3 years. It is a time to do things on an internal
level, rather than external. Clean out your closets,
finish projects, or read a book you’ve always
wanted to read.
Mercury will go retrograde in the sign of “Aries”
from March 10th thru April 2nd.

| Mars
Retrograde |
Mars is
our planet of desire and energy. Mars will be staying
in Scorpio for an unusually long time this year:
approximately 5 months. It will go retrograde in
the sign of Scorpio from March 18 thru June 4th.
The astrological signs that feel this planet’s
movements are Aries and Scorpio. So... slow down
Aries and Scorpio during this time. Check out the
workshop being held on Saturday April 3rd.
Mars will be retrograde in the sign of Scorpio
from March 18th thru June 4th.

| Jupiter
Changes Signs |
| Jupiter
will complete its year long stay in the Sign
of Pisces and go into the sign of Aries on February
12th. It will remain there until February 14, 2000.
Jupiter is a one year cycle, coinciding with the
popular Chinese Zodiac. Jupiter is our planet of
good luck, fortune and blessings. It takes 12 years
for Jupiter to go through all the 12 signs and move
through all 12 houses in your chart. What were you
doing 12 years ago? This is a return of that cycle. |
| Saturn
Changes Signs |
| Saturn
will also be completing its 2 1/2 year stay in the
sign of Aries and will be moving into the sign of
Taurus on February 28th. Saturn is our planet of
lessons, tests and karma. Saturn comes to challenge
us with our rules and habits. It helps us to look
at things that have outworn their use and purpose.
Habits that are put into effect at a certain time
may no longer serve you in your growth. What patterns
and habits have you outgrown and where are you getting
your lessons, tests, and karma? Saturn will tell
you. I have Saturn moving through my house of health
and work. I am now developing a new habit of writing
this newsletter on a quarterly basis. I love to
write these newsletters and find they are a great
connection to all of my clients. This is a new work
habit. Where is Saturn moving through your chart?

| We
are at the dawn of the Age of Aquarius. Aquarius
is the sign of Freedom, Awakening, Revolution and
Alternatives. We are at the end of the Pisces Age.
An “Age” in Astrology lasts for 2000 years.
Whenever we come to the end of an “Age,”
the cycles speed up and we get our lessons and tests
much more quickly. That is what is happening now.
The outer planets in astrology are more collective
in their effect on human consciousness. Check
it out! |
Uranus
Uranus is a 7 year cycle. You know the seven-year
itch? It has to do with the cycle of this planet.
Uranus is currently in the sign of Aquarius. It
entered into that sign in 1996 and will stay there
through the year 2003. Uranus transits through the
chart to help free us. Uranus helps us let go. It
shakes us loose! It adds the element of change and
unpredictability. |
Neptune
Neptune is a 14 year cycle. Neptune is a great healing
energy. It is where we have unfinished business
or healing to do. Healing takes time. Neptune entered
Aquarius in January 1998. It is helping us to bring
in the Aquarian Age. It will stay there until
the year 2012. This is when many astrologers believe
we will firmly be in the Age of Aquarius, 2012. |
Pluto
Pluto is a 15 year cycle. Pluto represents the urge
or desire to transform. Pluto went into the sign
of Sagittarius in the winter of 1995. Wherever Pluto
is in your chart represents the area that you are
undergoing the most transformation and change. Perhaps
this is why we are having so many untruths and secrets
revealed on the grand collective level. Sagittarius
is the sign of high aspiration and truth. Pluto
will stay in Sagittarius until the year 2008. |

I am now offering ongoing beginning and intermediate
classes in Astrology. If you have never studied
astrology this is the time to learn. Classes are
a great way to share your questions and learn the
foundational principles of this ancient art. It
sure helps in dating!!
Tuesday class is: 10:00 AM-12:30 PM. (currently
an ongoing beg-int. class).
Tuesday or Thursday evening classes - 7:00-9:30
PM (waiting for a few more sign-ups for either of
these class times.) Call if interested. Price per

Yoga
Classes
I am now teaching at “The Yoga Source”
on Wednesday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The class
is the entire first series of Astanga Yoga. Anyone
can come. It is a drop-in class (no sign-up necessary).
