Begin the New Year with the Self-Mastery Tool - The Enneagram!

"Approach the New Year with resolve

To find the opportunities hidden in each new day."

~Michael Josephson."

As we begin 2025, taking care of your mental health is one of the top things that will help you focus on and change the year!

Aligning your New Year's resolutions with personality traits from the Enneagram will help you set resolutions tailored to you!.

The result?  A longer-term practice versus a forgotten intention that most people drop by the end of January.

Knowing who you are will help you align your intentions and create a more purposeful focus. The Enneagram will help you understand how your behavior relates to your motivations and how you can consciously set goals and follow through on your intentions.

Here are some examples that you can set based on your Enneagram type.

  • 1 The Reformer: Let go and take some time for yourself without structure.  Choose to advocate for yourself.  You don't have to take on the world all by yourself. Schedule more time off to practice self-care.

  • 2 The Giver: Saying no to things this year will help your path to self-care and mental health.  Being your best is the best way to help yourself, and saying no is saying "yes" to something that will fuel you.

  • 3 The Achiever:  As a consummate goal-setting personality, set aside time that does not have a goal.  Take walks and adventures out of your workplace. Reflect on past accomplishments and give yourself a high five daily!

  • 4 The Individualist:  When did you put your unique ideas or creativity into the world?  The world wants to see your individuality.  Journal daily and work on understanding and being true to your feelings.  Your feelings to you are gold!

  • 5 The Investigator: A physical health or fitness tracking workout is a great way to balance that brilliant mind of yours.  A health goals spreadsheet would be great! Want to study something new?  Get out and try something that will stretch your big brain!

  • 6 The Loyalist: Avoid overanalyzing and overthinking even the most minor things. Reconnect with your inner-knowing self. Meditation will help you release fears, leading to a more balanced and whole you.

  • 7 The Enthusiast: Rest your body, mind, and heart. Get at least 8 hours of sleep each evening as a new goal. Taking a long bath or resting your mind will be super productive.

  • 8 The Challenger: Amplifying your passions and delegating challenges to others to support your passions will help you become a great leader and inspire others. Vulnerability is your strength.

  • 9 The Peacemaker: You are incredibly gifted at helping others see different perspectives. What about your own needs and desires? Prioritize those, then create a task list to keep track of your accomplishments visually.

New Year's resolutions include being compassionate toward yourself and accepting that mistakes are part of the process. Happy New Year, and keep growing and learning all you can this new year!
