Eight of Hearts
The Eight of Hearts is charming and very emotionally powerful. They can be charming and are seekers of the truth; by embracing the truth, they can achieve great self-mastery and spiritual growth. Many are great teachers, performers, and artists. This is also a healer's card and can help heal many people on the planet.
They must pay close attention to their health, as significant challenges can arise from this area. They must not neglect their bodies by doing too much in their lives, as there can be a great breakdown here. They need to relax and enjoy their lives, but with so much power at their disposal, they tend to overexert themselves.
As a true wisdom card, they can find great wisdom in their lives if they are not distracted by the varied relationships and work opportunities that continuously come their way. Seeking power in any form will always be defeating, as their true power comes from their precious hearts. They are broad-minded and very sympathetic and are great with children.
The shadow side of this card is the misuse of power with others and a degree of selfishness, or childlike qualities that can be seen when they don’t get their way. When they become addicted to the false sense of power in any form they will always see an immediate result of that misuse. They must find that all power is ultimately spiritual, and when that is clear, they are home free.
Card of The Day
The Eight of Hearts Day is a day to examine where you perceive yourself to be powerless. Being unable to get to work or start the project you've wanted to do is tied to your emotional body and how you feel.
Any type of inner child work is essential because that is where powerlessness and your emotional programming started. Reaching inside and accessing the child within you, and healing that inner child, will create a sense of safety and connection that is essential in healing your emotional body.

“
The inner boy in a messed-up family may keep on being shamed,
invaded, disappointed, and paralyzed for years and years.
"I am a victim," he says, over and over; and he is.
But that very identification with victimhood
keeps the soul house open and available for still more invasions.
Most American men today do not have
enough awakened or living warriors inside to defend their soul houses.
And most people, men or women,
do not know what genuine outward
or inward warriors would look like, or feel like.”
― Robert Bly, Author Iron John: A Book About Men (born December 23, Eight of Hearts)
