The Five of Hearts is very restless and seeks adventure, freedom, many experiences, security, and love to enrich their soul's journey.  Restless and hard working to find satisfaction in every area of their lives, they inevitably bring strong emotion and love to the world.

The Five of Hearts is no exception to wanting and seeking love.  And… all fives are here to learn from their experiences and they are here to bring wisdom to others from those experiences, ultimately.   Seeking experiences can lead to being satisfied, and then moving on to another experience brings the greatest wisdom.  

What does that do with relationships?  As a card, they are looking for experiences and freedom, but also seek complete satisfaction with whatever they are experiencing, which takes its toll.

The shadow of this card is discontent, restlessness, and chronic dissatisfaction. They dislike routine and responsibility, and fear anyone who appears to be restricting their personal freedom.  This does not create dependability or confidence within a relationship.  The five of hearts needs to learn that settling down with one thing will, and can, give them the peace they are seeking.

They also need to learn not to scatter their energy, but rather to deepen it into whatever is right in front of them.  Hard work, and staying with one thing, will teach them so much more than running around the world seeking the holy grail… as that grail is always within.. not without.

The Five of Hearts Day is about thinking about what experience you believe is teaching you what your heart wants to know.  And if it is not, to move on to another experience.  Is your heart committed to that job, task, relationship, or experience?  Are you feeling resentful about something that is not giving you the freedom you expected?  Look within, and you will find that creativity is tied also to letting something go, and starting anew.  Look within.  Your restlessness today is tied to a decision you need to make that is stirring up this restlessness!
